Toyota Oil Gel Litigation
To past and present Toyota owners from Sidney W. Jackson, Esquire:
I have filed a lawsuit in Mobile County, Alabama, on behalf of my client, Elayne Caine. Elayne spent a tremendous amount of time and heartache in trying to get the Toyota oil gel problem in her Toyota Sienna corrected. Elayne was given the run-around from top to bottom. She was finally told that she could participate in the Toyota oil gel class action pending in Louisiana, but only if she would pay $3,000 out of her own pocket for a rebuilt engine.
I filed the lawsuit to address Elayne's problems. She was not given accurate or truthful information about the "class action". She was told she did not have an oil gel problem even though such a diagnosis was made by the Toyota dealership. She was told she had waited too long to ask for a new engine (wrong!). And she and her family were exposed to the danger of her engine seizing up and stalling during interstate driving.
In speaking with Elayne and Charlene Blake, a crusader for consumer rights, it is apparent that there are many Toyota owners who have been affected by the oil gel problem but have not been properly compensated.
